1st Day: Ouarzazate – M’hamid
In the morning, departure on 4WD car in direction of Agdez throw the Tizi-n-Tinfifte pass. Just after Agdez starts the track of Tamnougalt, crossing many fortified villages and green oases on the left side of the Drâa river. The Drâa valley in a continuation of thousands of palm trees (first production of palm fruits in Morocco); lunch in Zagora (where you can see the famous panel Tombouctou 52 days by camel !)and way on towards the last village before the desert : M’hamid ; here you have to take a camel (about 1 hour and half walking or riding) through the last palm trees of the oasis, then in the middle of the sand dunes before reaching the camp. Dinner and night under nomad tents at ‘le Petit Prince’ camp…
The camp is well equipped, with showers, warm water (solar energy) ; under the tents, you find carpets, mattresses, pillows, sheets and blankets ; the dinner is outside (under the stars) with the candle light and always with local songs and music.
2nd Day: M’hamid – Ouarzazate
Breakfast will be served after the sunrise. Then short walk to the old Ksar of M’hamid, tea at the inhabitant inside a typical house. On the way back to Ouarzazate, on 4wd car , stop in Tamgroute to visit the Koranic Library with its old collection of religious books, the pottery factories as well as the underground lanes. Arrival in Zagora, then continuation by the track towards Agdez via Tansikht . After lunch you continue the road towards Ouarzazate when you arrive in the end of the afternoon; our driver drops you at your hotel.
