1er day: Ouarzazate – M’hamid
After breakfast, departure on 4WD car in direction of Agdez throw the Tizi-n-Tinfifte pass. Just after Agdez starts the track of Tamnougalt crossing many fortified villages and green oases on the left side of the Drâa river. The Drâa valley in a continuation of palm trees along about 200 km ( it is the first region in Morocco for the production and exportation of palm fruits). Lunch in Zagora, then arrival in Tamgroute : visit of the Koranic Library with its old collection of religious books and the pottery factories. Continuation on the road towards the last village before the desert: M’hamid. You reach the camp by camel, or walk through the last palm trees of the Drâa valley in the sand dunes. Dinner and night under nomad tents at ‘Le Petit Prince camp’ (fully equipped with toilets and showers….carpets, mattresses, sheets, blankets, pillows…)
2nd Day: M’hamid - Chigaga
After the sun rise and breakfast, visit of the old Ksar of M’hamid, tea at the inhabitant; departure by 4WD on a sandy track up to the wide dunes of Chigaga, picnic for lunch on shade of the palm trees or tamaris. Arrival before the sunset, dinner and night under nomad tent near the high dune.
3rd Day: Chigaga – Ouarzazate
Wake up early in the morning to assist to the sunrise. After breakfast, long desert track between Erg Chigaga and the dry river Drâa. You will see the Iriqui Lake and Foum Zguid village. Then your driver takes the road of Taznakht (stop to visit carpets factory) and drops you at your hotel in Ouarzazate in the end of the afternoon.
