1st day: Ouarzazate –Todgha Gorges
Departure in the morning on 4wd car from your hotel ; Direction of East via the lake and the golf of Ouarzazate, you will discover the palm grove and kasbahs of Skoura. Then you reach El Kelâa M’gouna, a big village situated between M’goun and Dads’ valleys. From here starts the Roses Valley track, passing by Ait Said, Tourbist, and Tamalout, which are fortified small villages. At last Bou-Thahrar village, before arriving at Ait- Youl Kasbah located at the beginning of the Dades Gorges. Wonderful landscapes and kasbahs on this mountain road. After a rest for lunch, continuation for Tinghir and the Todgha Gorges ; walk in the famous site before installation and dinner in a small hotel there.
2nd day: Todgha Gorges – Merzouga
After breakfast, walk in the Tineghir palm grove, which extends on 15km. Then visit of Tineghir and road towards the villages of Tinejdad and Goulmima (old Ksar in the middle of the oasis) then Jorf and Tafilalet palm-grove through Erfoud and Rissani. Arrival in Merzouga in the middle of the afternoon to take your camel and to contemplate the sunset from the top of the dunes ; camel –ride or walk (during one hour approximately ) are the only ways to reach the camp where you’ll get your dinner and spend the night under nomad tents ; the camp is located in the middle of Erg Chebbi dunes.
3rd Day: Merzouga –Zagora
Early wake up to look at the sunrise in the desert. Departure after breakfast in direction of Zagora. Visit of Rissani, capital of the Alaoui dynasty (tomb of Moulay Ali Charif)Way through the Bougafer mineral vastness to reach Alnif. Break for watching the fossils near Alnif ; Lunch in Tazzarine, then arrival in Tansikht via N’kob. From here your driver takes a track on a desert reg ; on your left the Djebel Rhart and on your right the Drâa valley with its thousands of palm trees. Dinner and night in a comfortable hotel in Zagora (with swimming pool) .
4th Day: Zagora - M'hamid
After breakfast, departure to M’hamid. Arrival in Tamgroute to visit the Koranic library and the pottery factory as well as the underground lanes. Continuation on the track throw the palm grove of Ouled Brahim and the El Faiya Reg up to M’Hamid, last village of the Draa valley before the desert ; The camp is located in the middle of the sand dunes at a few kilometres of M’Hamid. Dinner and night under nomad tents at ‘Le Petit Prince camp’ (fully equipped with toilets and showers….carpets, mattresses, sheets, blankets, pillows…).
5th Day: M'hamid - Ouarzazate
After breakfast, walk to visit the old Ksar of M’hamid, tea at the inhabitant and return to Ouarzazate along the magnificent palm grove of the Draa Valley. After Zagora, continuation on the opposite side of the Drâa river by the track of Tansikht. Lunch in Agdez and road to Ouarzazate via the Tizi-n-Tinfifte pass. In the afternoon our driver drops you at your hotel.
