Kasbahs and Cinema

Pick up at your hotel for a visit of the modern town of Ouarzazate and its surroundings.
First : the Taourirt Kasbah (the Pasha Glaoui residence) and the new Cinema museum in front of Taourirt
Then way to Ait Ben Haddou Ksar, classified village by Unesco for its architecture; after a walk for visiting the village (called ksar) way to Tifoultout Kasbah. Return to Ouarzazate center on another road ; drop off at your hotel or in front of Taourirt for visiting the old medina

Fint Oasis

From Ouarzazate, almost 15kms on a desert track before reaching the Fint Oasis, a very attractive landscape that you discover from the top of a pick, in the middle of the stones desert : suddenly a splendid green valley between the mountains. A nice walk near the river to visit four villages. By this way you discover another Berber Style of life, especially when you get a tea at the house of the Chief of the Oasis. Way back to Ouarzazate, after a sightseeing at Telmasla Kasbah (Kasbah of the storks).

Starting from Ouarzazate one day tour on 4wd car:
 Roses Valley and Dades Gorges

Starting in the morning from your hotel, you ‘ll take the East direction along the lake and the golf of Ouarzazate; you will discover the palm grove and the kasbahs of Skoura. You join El Kalâa M’goun, (a big village at an altitude of 1450m situated between M’goun and Dads’ valleys, well known for its roses). From here starts the splendid Roses Valley track with Ait Said, Tourbist, Tamalout, which are fortified small villages. In  Bou-Thahrar last village, possibility of a short walk near the M’Goun river before lunch. The track ends at Ait- Youl Glaoui Kasbah located at the beginning of the Dads Gorges. Then you enter on the mountain road of the Dades Gorges :Wonderful colours of the rocks ; beautiful Kasbahs…. At the end, way back on the road, to Ouarzazate , via Boumalne, El Kelaa, Skoura

The Draa Valley :

Departure from your hotel in the morning in direction of Agdez through the Tizi N’ Tinifift pass, on a mountain road.. In Agdez starts a marvellous track with fortified villages and green Oasis on the left side of the Drâa river. The Draa valley is the first palm fruits production area in Morocco ; the palm grove extends on 200 kms. Sometimes on the track, sometimes on the road, you follow the Draa river up to Zagora ; here you find the famous panel : Tombouctou 52 days by camel ! In Tamgroute you visit the Koranic Library with its old collection of religious books, the pottery factories and the underground lanes. 10km further you reach the first dune of the Draa valley : Tinfou . You have the possibility to take a camel for climbing up the sand hill. After a break for lunch in Zagora, you come back in the afternoon to Ouarzazate and your hotel.

Ait Ben Haddou and Telouet Kasbah

Departure from your hotel after breakfast in direction of North. After 30 km on the main road to Marrakech, you take on your right a narrow road which leads you to  Ait Ben Haddou, the most beautiful Ksar in the southern Morocco, classified by Unesco for its typical architecture After  visiting the village, you discover the splendid Tamdaght Kasbah and continue on a mountain track where you will find the most beautiful landscapes of Morocco ! This road is called the track of the salt. In Telouet you visit the Pasha Glaoui Kasbah, the highest Kasbah of the Atlas Chain. After lunch, you come back to Ouarzazate by the road through the Tichka pass.  End of the afternoon back to your hotel.

The track of the Amethysts

To discover those magnificent gems, you have to leave early in the morning. After 50 km on an impressive mountain track you will reach the Igarnane village. You will find the amethysts  after a difficult pedestrian climb or mule ride …A typical lunch is served at the inhabitant. Then way back to Ouarzazate and your hotel.
